The Passion of the Land

Since 1905, the Gautron family has passionately cultivated the art of the land in Ludes. Originally a farmer and farm manager, Étienne Gautron, alongside his wife Renée (née Cappe), raised their three children while transmitting a taste for work well done.

In the 1950s, viticulture became an obvious choice for André Gautron. Upon his return from military service in 1955, he planted his first vines and devoted all his energy to developing the family estate. Thanks to his commitment and know-how, the vineyard area gradually expanded to reach nearly 4 hectares. In the 1970s, he took a decisive step: producing and marketing his own Champagne under the name "André Gautron".

With the arrival of Chantal Godet, his wife, by his side in 1977, the range was enriched and gave birth to "Gautron-Godet" Champagnes, blending tradition and high standards. Brut, Demi-Sec, Rosé, or the emblematic Carte d'Or and Carte Noire Millésimé cuvées seduced enthusiasts in search of authenticity.

Today, the succession is assured by Gaëtan Gautron, who perpetuates the family heritage while instilling a new dynamic. Between respect for traditions and modernity, Champagne Gautron continues to write its history, a glass in hand and looking towards the future.
